It appears R&B superstar Rihanna has turned cruise ship singer – thankfully it’s only been a temporary career move.
The chart-topper brought a distinctively hip air to the launch of the world’s largest luxury liner, the Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas in Florida.
Her choice of ‘life-jacket orange’ skin-tight dress and thigh-high black boots seemed to fit the bill.
The twenty-one year old Umbrella star stepped aboard to perform tracks from her new album Rated R to celebrate the liner’s unveiling.
The ship, which cost over a billion pounds to build, is five times bigger than the Titanic and can accommodate over six thousand passengers.
It has staterooms, a turf-covered golf course, an open-air amphitheatre and two surfing simulators.
For Rihanna, the ship’s launch was a chance to showcase some of the new tunes from her fourth studio offering.
And remind fans that her unique style, as well as her music is as cutting edge as it gets.
That’s definitely the case with her most recent promo shot, which features the singer wearing devil horns, a corset and not a lot else.
In it, she mimics holding a gun with a tattoo of a weapon clearly visible under her arm.
The image has been criticised for sending out the wrong message to her legion of fans all over the world.
